Terms of Service
Last updated: August 6, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Safed Inc., doing business as Cleaneaty (“Cleaneaty,” “we,” “us”). They govern your use of cleaneaty.com (the “Site”) and every service booked through it. By booking a service or using the Site, you accept these Terms.
1. Our services
Cleaneaty coordinates professional cleaning, repairs, and property-care services across New York City's five boroughs. Services are performed by vetted, insured, independent service providers engaged by Cleaneaty. Published prices are flat rates; New York sales tax is added where applicable. Some work (for example, commercial spaces and larger homes) is priced by custom quote.
2. Booking and payment
When you book, you place a card on file through our payment processor, Stripe. You are not charged at booking. You authorize Cleaneaty to charge your card for the booked services, plus applicable tax, and any fees under these Terms, after the work is completed. If a final amount differs from the booked amount (for example, work added on site at your request), we charge the adjusted amount. If your card cannot be charged, you agree to provide another payment method promptly; unpaid balances may be pursued through collection.
3. Arrival windows
Bookings are scheduled in arrival windows. We (or your provider) will notify you when the crew is on the way. Windows are our good-faith commitment; where delays occur we will communicate and reschedule the start within a reasonable time or offer a new window.
4. Our guarantee
If you are not satisfied with a completed service, tell us within 24 hours and we will return and re-do the affected work within 48 hours where reasonably feasible, at no charge. If the re-do still does not resolve the issue, we will refund up to the amount you paid for the affected service. This is our sole and complete remedy for unsatisfactory work.
5. Cancellations, rescheduling, lockouts
You may cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival window. Cancellations inside 24 hours, and situations where our crew cannot access or perform the work at the scheduled time (lockout, no adult present where required, unsafe conditions, no working utilities), are charged 50% of the booked service price.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide safe and lawful access to the premises; disclose conditions that materially affect the work (pests, biohazards, construction debris, non-functioning utilities); secure cash, jewelry, firearms, and irreplaceable or extraordinarily valuable items before service; and ensure anyone present during service can lawfully admit us. We may decline or stop work that is unsafe, unsanitary beyond the booked scope, or unlawful; Section 5 applies.
7. Damage claims and liability
Report any claim of property damage within 24 hours of service completion, with photographs. We will investigate promptly and in good faith. Our remedy ladder: repair or re-perform first; if repair is not feasible, compensation up to the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or wear, damage inherent to the condition or material of an item (for example, fabrics that cannot tolerate standard cleaning methods when not disclosed), or items required to be secured under Section 6 that were not secured. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLEANEATY'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM ANY SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THAT SERVICE, AND CLEANEATY IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
8. Service providers; no direct hiring
Providers are independent contractors, not employees of Cleaneaty. Cleaneaty vets providers, coordinates scheduling, and stands behind the work through the guarantee above. During any period in which you receive services and for 12 months after your last completed service, you agree not to solicit, hire, or engage any provider introduced to you by Cleaneaty for services outside the platform. If you do, you agree to pay Cleaneaty a placement fee of $2,500 per provider, reflecting our recruiting, vetting, and business-building costs. This does not restrict providers' general right to work.
9. Chargebacks and billing disputes
Contact us first — hello@cleaneaty.com or (917) 203-8710 — and we will work to resolve any billing issue quickly, including under the guarantee in Section 4. Initiating a card dispute for a charge made in accordance with these Terms, without first giving us a reasonable opportunity to resolve it, is a breach of these Terms.
10. Accounts and acceptable use
Keep your account credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. You agree not to misuse the Site — no unauthorized access, scraping, interference, or unlawful use. We may suspend accounts and decline service where these Terms are violated or where we reasonably believe safety, fraud, or abuse is at issue.
11. Site content
The Site, including its text, design, pricing tools, and branding, is owned by Safed Inc. and protected by law. THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND; your statutory rights regarding the services themselves are unaffected.
12. Dispute resolution — arbitration and class-action waiver
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved by BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in New York County, New York. YOU AND CLEANEATY EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court in New York City. You may opt out of this arbitration provision by emailing hello@cleaneaty.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating your name and that you opt out of arbitration; opting out does not affect any other provision.
13. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Cleaneaty for the Site and services. We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date reflects the current version, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
