Privacy Policy

Cleaneaty is a service of Safed Inc., doing business as Cleaneaty (“Cleaneaty,” “we,” “us”). We provide cleaning, repairs, and property-care services across New York City's five boroughs through cleaneaty.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or booking a service, you agree to this policy.
What we collect
Booking and contact information. Your name, email address, phone number, service address, apartment or floor, ZIP code, and any access notes you give us (for example, doorman instructions). We collect this when you book, request a quote, or create an account.
Payment information. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. Card numbers never touch our servers — we keep only a secure payment token, the card brand, and the last four digits so we can charge the card you placed on file after your service is completed.
Quote requests. The details, photos, and documents you upload with a quote request. These are stored privately and used only to prepare and deliver your quote.
Account information. Email address and a password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), or your Google account identity if you sign in with Google where available.
Service-provider applications. If you apply to work with Cleaneaty: your experience, service areas, contact details, tax forms (such as a W-9), and certificates of insurance. These are stored privately and used for vetting, engagement, and tax compliance.
Service records. Booking history, service statuses, arrival and completion times, and communications about your bookings.
Usage data. Basic analytics about how the Site is used — pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser type. We may add standard analytics or advertising tools (such as Google Analytics or ad pixels) in the future; if we do, this section governs them and we will update this policy as needed.
How we use it
To provide and schedule services; to price and deliver quotes; to charge the card on file after work is completed; to send transactional messages about your bookings (confirmations, reminders, arrival notifications) by email and text message; to send marketing emails you can opt out of at any time; to vet, engage, and pay service providers; to keep proper business, tax, and accounting records; to improve the Site; and to comply with law.
Text messages. By providing your phone number with a booking, you consent to receive service-related text messages (for example, “your crew is on the way”). Reply STOP to opt out. Message and data rates may apply. We do not send marketing texts without separate consent.
Marketing email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional emails about your bookings are sent regardless, because they are part of the service.
What we share — and what we don't
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent it. We never have.
We share information only with: (1) the service provider assigned to your job — they see your name, service address, access notes, and job details, and are bound by confidentiality obligations; (2) service processors that run our platform — Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and our hosting and database infrastructure — each bound to use your data only to provide their service to us; (3) professional advisers (accountants, lawyers) under confidentiality; and (4) authorities when required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers, or our providers.
Security
Payment data is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor. Site traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to customer records is limited to staff who need it to operate the business. Provider tax documents and insurance certificates are stored with restricted access. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by New York law.
Retention
We keep booking and account records while your account is active and as long as needed for legitimate business purposes. Financial records, including invoices and payment records, are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes (generally seven years). Quote materials for jobs that don't book are deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period.
Your choices and rights
You can access, correct, or ask us to delete your personal information by emailing hello@cleaneaty.com. We will verify your identity and respond within a reasonable time. Deletion is subject to records we are legally required to keep. You can opt out of marketing email (unsubscribe link) and text messages (reply STOP) at any time.
Children
The Site and our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Accounts and bookings must be made by adults.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate checkout, and basic analytics to understand Site usage. If we adopt advertising cookies or pixels, we will disclose them here.
Changes
We may update this policy as the business evolves. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
